Origin
Automation Orches began after several Hong Kong holders spent consecutive spring seasons reconstructing cost basis from overlapping exchange files. The pattern was familiar: transfers looked like sales, airdrops had no acquisition price, and accountants received folders instead of lot registers.
The desktop tax-lot organizer was built so classification stays manual—each disposal paired with an acquisition you can defend—before anything leaves for accountant handoff.
How we work
We prefer deliberate evenings over automated guesses. In a session you see every disputed line. Notes travel with the lot, so your preparer reads your reasoning rather than inventing one.
The office sits at Mira Place Tower B in Tsim Sha Tsui, close to clients who keep records in Central, Admiralty, or across the harbour. Remote screen-share sessions follow the same sequence when travel is impractical.
People at the desk
Classification facilitation is led by practitioners who have sat through multi-year crypto histories with local accountants. We are not a CPA firm and do not file returns. Our role ends when the packet is coherent and your preparer can begin.
Values in practice
- Specific over assumed. If a lot cannot be matched honestly, it is flagged—not filled.
- Source before narrative. Export files and transfer dates outrank recollection.
- Handoff as a craft. The packet is a professional courtesy to the accountant, not a marketing artifact.
