Person reviewing financial documents at a desk

Classification

Lot classification session

Sit with your exchange exports and assign cost basis lot by lot in the desktop organizer, with notes ready for your accountant.

  • Desk session or remote screen-share
  • Half-day or full-day blocks
  • Mira Place Tower B, Tsim Sha Tsui, or remote
  • From HKD 4,800 per half-day

Who this is for

Traders, founders, and long-term holders in Hong Kong who already keep exchange CSVs and wallet exports, but need each disposal matched to an acquisition lot before the year closes with their accountant.

What you leave with

A classified lot file inside the Automation Orches desktop organizer, plus a printed or PDF handoff packet that lists:

  • Acquisition date and source for each matched lot
  • Disposal proceeds and remaining quantity notes
  • Transfer markers between wallets (so internal moves are not treated as sales)
  • Open questions flagged for the accountant rather than guessed

Included

  • Intake of up to four exchange or wallet export files for one tax year
  • Guided lot assignment using specific identification where records support it
  • Source notes attached to ambiguous entries (airdrops, rewards, failed trades)
  • Export of the handoff packet in the format your preparer prefers

Excluded

  • Filing your tax return or representing you before the Inland Revenue Department
  • Legal opinions on whether a gain is chargeable in Hong Kong
  • Reconstructing missing records from blockchain explorers beyond light verification
  • Ongoing bookkeeping for active trading months after the session

How a session runs

  1. You send exports at least two business days ahead.
  2. We open them in the desktop organizer together and walk disposal by disposal.
  3. You make the final lot choice on each entry; we record the reason in the note field.
  4. We assemble the handoff packet and walk you through what to send your accountant.

Typical half-day sessions cover a moderate year (two exchanges, under a few hundred lines). Heavier multi-wallet histories need a full day or a follow-up block.

Preparation

Bring export files with timestamps intact. If you moved coins between self-custody wallets, note the transfer dates beforehand. Your accountant’s preferred column layout, if they have one, saves a revision cycle.

Next step

Request a review with your year coverage and exchange list. We confirm whether a half-day or full-day fits before quoting.

Ready to schedule

Describe your exchange list and year coverage. We confirm scope before any fee is quoted.
